The blog you are about to read is as true as the author is capable of making it. Only the details have been altered to accommodate the limitations of the author's memory. This should be followed by dramatic music going... Dom Da Dom Dom! Throw in Jack Webb and Walter Schumann and you've got a terrific radio show from the early 1950s. But as this is the very first blog I've ever written and haven't really prepared for the moment of writing it, I must beg your forgiveness. I promise to get better, but for now I shall simply explain why I'm doing this at all. As I was born in the late 1940s I am now attempting to write about my childhood. I doubt that I'm terribly unique in this ambition and one of the things I've found exciting in preparing for telling my tale has been the process of amassing research material such as pop songs, movies, comic books and various other bits of mind rotting low culture which informed my time as a youngster. I'm not certain what happens next. Presumably I click the button which says: PUBLISH POST and then I go live. Okay...here goes.
